This past week was my sisters graduation party. And in true Buchtien fashion, a party was in order! I think our family (and by family I mean the momma and sisters) enjoys prepping for the party just as much, if not more, than the actual party itself.
Em decided on a Fiesta themed party and it was TO.DIE.FOR.
Okay…not really. But it was super cute and she and my mom did a great job pulling all the little details together.
Fiesta Decorations
All of the little details were well thought out and matched the theme perfectly.
Mom made these cute little succulents out of jars and they were so so cute!
You can’t have a party for a teacher without throwing in some teacher supplies!
Fiesta Feast
You also can’t have a party without food. And I am pretty sure that the whole theme of this party revolved around the simple fact that about two months prior Emily and I went to eat at Willies Ice House here in town and discovered that their queso was the same as our beloved queso from Fajita Willies. Which is like the stomping grounds of our childhood, at least when it comes to restaurants.
So thus, a mexican themed party was born!
We had a yummy nacho bar complete with more guacamole than an army would need.
Look at how cute this cake is!!! (It’s from Penningtons in San Marcos.)
And these cookies were just as yummy as they look! And no, I didn’t have a problem eating them even though they were adorable. (These were from Suzybeez Bakery in Houston.)
Fiesta Party means margaritas! So we hired a bartender. He was really cheap.
Happy Graduation to my sweet sis, Emily! Also, shout out to Shelby Ann for being our unprofessional professional photographer.
Until next time,
